Let us discuss how to use factory restore and reset your Samsung Galaxy Note 4. There are two ways or methods to reset your device you can use either Software menus or Hardware key combination before start up.

Software Method: (Soft Reset)

Step 1:

Select settings from the home screen.

Step 2:

Then select Backup and Restart.

Step 3:

If desired check Automatic restore or Back up my data options, And then select the Factory data reset on your device.

Step 4:

Select the Reset Device.

Step 5:

If it is required enter PIN in your device.

Step 6:

Select Continue and click Delete all.

Until wait while your system resets the device. It will take some times to reset and now your Samsung Note 4 settings and data will be restored to factory defaults.

Step 1:

Make sure that all lights should be off before proceeding and switched off the Galaxy Note 4.

Step 2:

Simultaneously press and hold the Power, Volume up and Home button.

Step 3:

Release the power and Home button and continue to hold the Volume up when the screen turn on.

Step 4:

Release the Volume up button when the Android system recovery screen will appear.

Step 5:

To toggle the highlighted selection down to Wipe data/Factory reset use the volume button.

Step 6:

To make your selection press power.

Step 7:

Wait for few minutes until system resets the device. Once it as completed use volume keys to highlight the Reboot system now option to choose that selection click power and now your Samsung Note 4 settings and data will be restored to factory defaults.
