How to register at Google Apps:

Step 1 : Go to Google apps Sign up Page on here and then click Get started button this will takes you to next page and type your details for signing up.

Step 2 : Click on next, and around the next page you need to choice to buy a new domain name from Google or use any of your already existing domain. In case you have a own domain, select the option “Use a domain name I have already purchased” of course, if you have to buy a new domain name, select the second option.

Step 3 : Click on “Accept and signup” and it’ll immediately redirect anyone to admin console of the recently created Google apps account. This is a screenshot of my Google apps admin console.

Step 4: First thing which we need right here would be to verify domain ownership which can be done in many methods. The simplest and best way is by adding the meta tag into your website or blog, alternatively you can add Txt (Domain host or CNAME) record for verify domain ownership. I have added meta tag on my WordPress blog for verify my domain ownership.

Step 5 : Copy paste meta tag on your website and then click on “verify”.  Google is much smarter and detects your web host information’s and shows you something like ” Looks like your domain is hosted with Hostgator”.

Step 6 : Now you delete all the existing  MX records on your Hostgator or any other web host your using, and simply use MX provided on admin console of Google apps domain setup.

That’s is within 24 hours Google will check your MX records after which your custom email address activated. After you are activated go to Gmail and sign-in with your branded email address.
