An iPhone display screen is basically very small for multiple people to crowd around to see photos or movies. Fortunately, there are actually several ways to connect your iPhone to a bigger screen (TV) to enhance watching ease.

Method 1: Using an HDMI Cable

  1. Buy an HDMI cable. You will also need to get an Apple Digital AV adaptor. These is usually found online or at an electronics store.
  2. Connect the wire and the adaptor. Then, plug the adaptor iPhone to HDMI converter cable.
  3. Connect the HDMI cable in your TV. Find the HDMI port (generally on the side or back of your TV) and plug iPhone into TV.
  4. Change your TV towards the proper input. You will need to change the input of your TV to display the items of the iPhone. As soon as you have done this, videos and photos on supported apps will show up on your TV!

Method 2: Using an Analog Connection

  1.  Buy an Apple Composite AV cable. These may be found online or with an electronics store.
  2. Connect the cable into your iPhone.
  3. Find the yellow end from the plug. Connect it into an analog video port on your TV. Then, connect the red and white ends in the red and white audio ports on your TV. Ensure that the audio ports match using the video port.
  4. Change your TV towards the proper input. You will have to change the input of your TV to show the items of the iPhone. Once you’ve done this, videos and photos on supported apps will appear on your TV once you start playing them on the device!

Method 3: Wirelessly, Using Airplay

  1. Ensure that all of your gadgets support Airplay. Airplay was created by Apple particularly for streaming content wirelessly among iOS devices.
  2. Connect all of your AirPlay gadgets towards the similar wireless network. The streaming won’t do over 4G/LTE.
  3. Double click the Home button on your iPhone. Swipe this list on the right, until finally you can AirPlay settings.
  4. Tap the AirPlay option. This will likely give you a listing of AirPlay devices you can stream to. A TV icon means it is possible to stream pictures, movie, and music, although a speaker icon means you can only stream audio.

Tips

In case you have a second generation Apple TV along with an iPhone 4S, you may select Mirroring via AirPlay to mirror your phone’s display on the TV.
